Stewardship & Volunteering
The Revelstoke Rod and Gun Club works with the BCWF on issues such as road closures that restrict the public's access to wilderness. We always promote responsible travel methods and ethical harvesting of all game. Our voice has an impact.
We also work with the West Kootenay Outdoors group on changes to system regulations that affect bag limits, tags and limited entry hunts.
In the past, our club has received grants to clean up the Bridge Creek kokanee spawning channel. The channel needs regular scarification and debris removal to prepare the area for successful returns. Our volunteers clear culverts and aid in rehabilitation projects whenever possible.
